FOUNDER

CLIFF DRYSDALE

An International Tennis Hall of Fame member, Cliff has devoted over four decades of his life to promoting the advancement of the tennis culture. His contributions to the game span across an award-winning career as a professional player, his leadership roles in advancing Open Tennis and in the founding and presidency of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) and a 30 year+ tenure as an ESPN tennis analyst. As founder and President of Cliff Drysdale Tennis, Cliff oversees the design processes of new tennis and club facilities, consults with developers and hospitality executives on how to build and maintain a world-class tennis program, and makes appearances at Tennis Legend events hosted by our partners and sponsors around the world.

PRESIDENT

DON HENDERSON

Don began his professional tennis career as an intern at the John Newcombe Tennis Ranch and Academy, where he worked his way up the ranks to Director of the John Newcombe Tennis Ranch until 1997. He formed a partnership with Cliff Drysdale after serving as his Director of Tennis at The Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne Tennis Garden, and has served as Chief Executive Officer of Cliff Drysdale Management and its divisions, including; Ladies Retreats, Legend Events, CorporateOuting.com, Ritz Kids and Cliff Drysdale Management since 1999. Don’s most recent venture in the tennis industry has been to take on the role of developer and project manager for the John Newcombe Estate and Country Club in New Braunfels, TX - a luxury country club community with a world-class tennis and fitness facility.

Don spends a great deal of time on the tennis court training CDM teaching professionals, as a team captain for the company’s famous Ladies Retreats, playing in event exhibitions and instructing clients. He is also an avid fitness enthusiast and runner.

PRESIDENT & CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

SCOTT MCCULLOCH

Scott McCulloch, a native of Sydney, Australia holds a bachelors degree in Sports Management from Sutherland College. Scott was a nationally ranked junior where he was coached by former World Number One John Newcombe, and his son Clint Newcombe. Scott has worked extensively with many legends of the game both on and off the court from coaching top ranked players to the development of tennis programs and club management across the country.

 

Since his arrival to the company in 2007, Scott has opened and grown over 20 locations for CDM. With nearly 20 years of teaching tennis and his background in building and managing clubs of all sizes, McCulloch brings a wealth of experience, training and leadership to our clubs and partners. In his role as COO, McCulloch will oversee daily operations for all clubs managed out of the New Braunfels office, including programming, creating short and long-term operational strategies,  pro-development, and most importantly, supporting HQ, directors, and associates in the CDT and PBI club portfolio. Additionally, he will be charged with setting comprehensive goals for performance and growth; and establishing policies that promote growth, culture, and vision.

 

Additionally, Scott is regarded as one the tennis industry pioneers in today’s tennis climate specializing in all aspects of tennis management operations and  serves on the USTA national committee  for adult social play and works closely with the USTA at a sectional and national level as an advisor on a variety of projects from program delivery, strategic partnerships & pathways, tennis software technology and the tennis certification.

DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

MATTHEW GIOVANONI

Matthew holds a Masters in Accounting from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Prior to joining the company as the corporate Accountant in 2018, he worked at a publicly-traded technology company in San Antonio where he performed various accounting responsibilities and helped resolve the company-wide system migration for all Accounts Receivable. In his current role, Matthew assumes the financial comptrolling duties for Cliff Drysdale Management where he supervises corporate accounting, prepares regulatory and financial reports, budgets and forecasts, and develops internal control policies and procedures.

A canny leftie known for his court agility, Matthew was the first seed for his high school varsity tennis team and continues to compete in USTA tournaments as a mixed doubles partner to his wife.

DIRECTOR OF QUALITY CONTROL

KATHLEEN JAROSZEWSKI

Kathleen joined CDT in 2008 as the Business Services Manager.  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from California State University, Northridge. Prior to joining CDT, Kathleen worked in HR with Six Flags, in commercial banking and volunteered for 11 years with AARP Tax-Aide where she had a state management role.  Her previous experience in HR with Six Flags and in commercial banking enabled her to take on a dual role in accounting and HR when hired.  As the company grew, so did the HR responsibilities and Kathleen took on the role of Director of HR in 2012.  She now leads a dedicated team of HR professionals who are responsible for all facets of HR.


Kathleen is an avid tennis fan and player, and the highlight of her tennis experience (so far) is hitting balls on Arthur Ashe Stadium.
