Omni Amelia Island Resort Receives 2024 USTA Outstanding Facility Award

Omni Amelia Island is one of 41 Tennis Facilities from Across the Country Honored for Excellence

Amelia Island, Florida (September 6, 2024) – The USTA has announced that Omni Amelia Island Resort in Amelia Island, Florida, is one of 41 winners in the USTA’s annual Outstanding Facility Awards program, which recognizes excellence in the construction and/or renovation of tennis facilities throughout the country.

Omni Amelia Island Resort's tennis program, operated by Cliff Drysdale Tennis, has been recognized as one of the finest in the world, most recently receiving accolades as the world's No. 5 Tennis Camp and a Gold Medal Tennis Resort by Tennis Resorts Online. Since 1974, guests and professionals have enjoyed this prestigious tennis facility featuring 23 Har-Tru® fast-dry clay courts, 7 pickleball courts, a tennis pro shop, a health & fitness center, function rooms and the Verandah restaurant. Legends of tennis have played at Omni Amelia Island Resort, including Andre Agassi, Martina Navratilova, Chris Evert, Martina Hingis, Maria Sharapova and the Williams sisters.

"Outstanding tennis facilities like Omni Amelia Island Resort help us to grow the game at the grassroots level, and we are proud to recognize them for their ongoing impact on the sport of tennis,” said Theodore Loehrke, Managing Director, Section Partnerships, USTA. “The great work of Omni Amelia Island continues to support our shared mission of growing tennis to inspire healthier people and communities everywhere."

"This award is a testament to our entire team's effort in elevating the tennis experience for our local players and resort guests," said Robert Wright, Director of Racquets. "We take great pride in receiving this honor and know how special it is given the hundreds of quality nominations there were in the private club space."

Facilities were judged on the following criteria: overall layout and adaptation to site; excellence of court surface and lights; ease of maintenance; accommodations for players, spectators and press/officials; aesthetics; graphics (including the use of signs and landscaping); amenities such as casual seating for spectators, food services and social areas; and the facilities’ participation in grassroots tennis programs.

Nominated facilities were voted on in the following categories: Public Courts that are either small tennis centers with 2-11 courts or large tennis centers with 12 or more courts; Private Facilities that offer both USTA and public programming designed to help grow tennis (small: 2-11 courts; large: 12 or more courts); and Educational Institutions such as colleges, universities, public and private grade schools, middle schools, or high schools.

The opening of a tennis center from small to large brings many opportunities to develop school health. Playing bitlife online brings you life experiences from childhood until old age, with events and relationships around the family.

Hi there! I'm the programmer behind the basketball stars game. I've always been a huge fan of sports, and basketball in particular, so creating this game was a dream come true.

What I love most about basketball stars is its simplicity and accessibility. It's a game that anyone can pick up and play, regardless of their skill level. The fast-paced gameplay, combined with the satisfying feeling of sinking a perfect three-pointer, makes it incredibly addictive.
