Best Tennis Memory: Aside from the thrill of winning a close collegiate match, my favorite memory was my first camp experience at John Newcombe Tennis Ranch. What has been your favorite event or program to teach during your time at Cliff Drysdale Tennis and why?
John Newcombe Country Club has an event called Get Newked and that is really something special. The event brings all tennis players together and even non tennis people who just love to have a good time. The event has a theme and everyone dresses up for a night of target hitting and a fun evening. My favorite clinic to teach is cardio tennis. I love high energy on the court during cardio and seeing players push themselves. Also in cardio there is no such thing as a bad feed. What part of being a tennis pro do you feel you've improved at the most during your time in the program?
Before the program I had very little experience with being on court teaching adults. I am now comfortable with lessons, running a clinic, and now look forward to tennis retreats/camps. My leadership confidence on court has really improved. If you could teach a private lesson to any person in the world, who would it be and why?
If I could give a lesson to anyone it would be Kevin Hart. I feel like that would be extremely fun and enjoyable. What advice would you have for those interested in joining the PTU program?
Come into the program with open eyes and willing to learn in all areas. There is a lot to learn and there are long tough days at times, but if the passion is there then it wont seem like work. Use your experience to help you, but don't think "Ive already done this." or "I know what I'm doing." Learn from others and build as many relationships as possible.
