PTU Profile: Thomas Earl Lozano

Name: Thomas-Earl Gregory Lozano (Teg)

Originally From: Pecos, Texas

Favorite Shot: Backhand down the line

Best Tennis Memory: celebrating with my college teammates after a 5-4 conference win

What has been your favorite event or program to teach during your time at Cliff Drysdale Tennis and why?

Definitely the ladies retreats. I got to meet a lot of great pros and great people. We work hard, eat good and find some time for fun over the span of the retreat.

What part of being a tennis pro do you feel you've improved at the most during your time in the program?

Feeding. I was fairly poor at feeding and didn't have much confidence with it. I really learned how to feed while I was working under Elliott Pegg in NY. He helped me with a lot. Feeding is a skill that I continue to sharpen everytime I step on court.

If you could teach a private lesson to any person in the world, who would it be and why?

George W. Bush

1. He was a president

2. He has some tennis history

3. Wouldn't mind asking him for a few wild stories from his youth

What advice would you have for those interested in joining the PTU program?

If you want the opportunity to travel and connect/build relationships with people across the world then this program is your golden ticket to the chocolate factory. Don't hesitate, don't waste time, make it happen.
