2015 WIMBLEDON HERO COMPETING IN FAIRFIELD MEN’S PRO CHALLENGE




The USTA announced that Dustin Brown, the German-Jamaican that won over the hearts at Wimbledon’s Centre Court this year, will be among the top seeds at the Fairfield Men’s Pro Challenger presented by Francis Ford Coppola Winery. The tournament, which is a $50K USTA Pro Circuit and ATP Challenger event, will be a part of three men’s USTA Challenger events that will swing through northern California, with proceeds to benefit the Chris Cammisa Tennis and Education Foundation (CCTEF).


Brown is recognized as the most accomplished tennis player in the history of Jamaica and is a mainstay on the ATP Challenger Tour in both singles and doubles. He reached a career high World singles ranking of No. 78 in 2014, and his highest doubles ranking of World No. 43 in 2012.


Currently ranked at World No. 105, Brown has been highly publicized over the lasyear as being one of only a few players with a winning record against 14 time Grand Slam Champions and former World No. 1 Rafael Nadal in their only two meetings. Brown first claimed victory over Nadal at the Gerry Weber Open in 2014, and then again in the second round of the 2015 Wimbledon Championships.


All events and the tournament are located at 3250 Rancho Solano Parkway; In-Shape: Fairfield Rancho Solano is a multi-recreational, family athletic facility offering health, fitness, sports, recreation and social programs for people of all ages and interests. The tennis facility features 11 lighted tennis courts, and the Cliff Drysdale Tennis-managed program offers instruction, leagues and events for players of all ages and abilities.
