New Braunfels, TX (February 7, 2019) -- The 2nd Annual 24 Hours of Tennis will be hosted at John Newcombe Country Club, and new for 2019 is local beneficiary SJRC Texas, formerly known as St. Jude’s Ranch for Children. Event proceeds from the tennis charity event will benefit local branches in New Braunfels, San Antonio and Bulverde, Texas. Tennis related clinics, events and activities will be held for 24 hours in a row beginning at 6pm on Friday, March 29th. The event is open to members and non-members of John Newcombe Country Club.
SJRC Texas cares for children and families who have been affected by trauma, abuse and neglect, and have been removed from their homes by the Department of Family and Protective Services. SJRC’s vision is that abused and neglected children will be empowered to grow up to be happy, productive and caring adults.

Tennis legend Cliff Drysdale will serve as Master of Ceremonies, kicking off the event Friday evening at 6pm. Tennis activities will include instructional adult clinics, games and competitions for prizes, dedicated private lesson slots, a pro exhibition, UTR Shootout Tournament and more. Social events include Friday dinner, drinks and live music, silent auction, breakfast and coffee, lunch, and a Happy Hour Awards Ceremony.
