Members of the La Costa High Performance Junior Tennis Academy, based out of Omni La Costa Resort & Spa and managed by Cliff Drysdale Tennis, have recently been crowned champions of Southern California!
The La Costa Kangaroos, competing in the 14 and under division, were invited to compete at the USTA Junior Team Tennis Section Championships for the Spring '15 season after dispatching all challengers in the San Diego Division and completing a perfect 9-0 season.
The Section Championships took place in Los Angeles on June 6th and 7th. Coached by Cliff Drysdale Tennis Professionals, the Kangaroos were able to go 3-0 and group play before advancing to the finals held at the Stub Hub Center in Carson, CA. Despite fierce resistance from a squad hailing from Fullerton, the La Costa juniors rose triumphant with a 26-24 final match score to take the title!
