Six Cliff Drysdale Tennis Managed Locations Earn Top 100 Rankings

New Braunfels, TX (May 8, 2019) — Six Cliff Drysdale Tennis managed locations have earned prestigious Top 100 rankings in Tennis Resorts Online annual rankings, an international list released May 1 by Editor in Chief and esteemed tennis writer Roger Cox. CDT managed locations tallied two Gold Medal (Top 25), two Silver Medal (26-50) and one Bronze Medal (51-75) placement.

Topping the list was the Omni Amelia Island Resort and Plantation (Amelia Island, FL), which has consistently garnered accolades as amongst the top tennis travel destinations in the United States. Ranked no. 16 overall as a tennis resort, Amelia Island also earned the no. 3 overall tennis camp ranking, and was no. 4 overall in the “Best instruction and programming” category.

“Whether you are one of the locals that we see several times a week, a guest of the resort, or a group here for tennis camp, we take immense pride in providing the Ultimate Tennis Experience,“ said Sal Barbaro, Director of Tennis at Omni Amelia Island Resort and Plantation. “We’re honored to be named a Gold Medal resort and camp once again.”

The Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne, Miami ranked no. 24 overall, earning Gold Medal status once again. Omni La Costa Resort and Spa (Carlsbad, CA) and the recently re-opened Hawks Cay Resort (Hawks Cay, FL) ranked between 26-50, earned Silver Medal status. Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort and Spa (Rancho Mirage, CA) earned Bronze Medal status, while Stratton Mountain Resort earned Silver Medal Tennis Camp recognition.

Since 1999, Tennis Resorts Online has been helping vacationers decide where to go on their next tennis holiday. Each year the site publishes its annual rankings of the best tennis resorts and camps worldwide, with the current list based on submitted reviews from tennis playing guests over the last twelve months.

“In my three-plus decades of covering tennis travel, I've visited more than 350 resorts and participated in more than 50 tennis camps,” said Roger Cox, Editor of Tennis Resorts Online. “I've personally interviewed hundreds of vacationing players and polled thousands more, all in an effort to understand what makes a resort or camp great. The fact that several Cliff Drysdale Tennis-managed properties make this list each year tells me that the Cliff Drysdale staff understands the needs of avid tennis players and consistently meets or exceeds their expectations.”
