The CopperWynd 50K Women’s Pro Challenge will feature six of the top up and coming American players on the pro tour.

The USTA announced the entry list for the CopperWynd 50K Women’s Pro Challenge and it will feature many up and coming American players. The CopperWynd 50K Women’s Pro Challenge will take place November 8-15, 2015 at the CopperWynd Resort & Club with the tennis managed by Cliff Drysdale Tennis. The CopperWynd 50K Women’s Pro Challenge will be the last leg in the Australian Open Wild Card Challenge, which grants the American player with the most points a Main Draw Wild Card to the 2016 Australian Open.

The highest ranked American player on the entrant list is Anna Tatishvili at 110. The Georgian-born 25 year old has won 15 ITF singles titles, 17 ITF doubles titles, and 3 WTA doubles titles. At the 2015 US Open Championships, Tatashvili soared through the qualifying and defeated the 8-seeded Karolina Pliskova in a dominating upset.

Another notable American entrant is the 129th ranked Nicole Gibbs. The former All American Stanford stand-out has had a steady career, reaching the 3rd round at the 2014 US Open Championships. Gibbs was also an integral member of the 2015 Austin Aces, who were finalists in the World Team Tennis Championships in August 2015.

Rounding out the entrant list is teenage phenom Cici Bellis. 16 year old Bellis made a huge splash at the 2014 US Open Championships, upsetting Cibulkova, and becoming the youngest American to win a match at the US Open since 1986.

Other Americans in the main draw include: Sachia Vickery ranked #125, Katerina Stewart ranked #171, and Samantha Crawford ranked #175.
