Originally from St. Petersburg, Russia, Galina is internationally known and recognized for her talent, expertise, and unmitigated success since she began her career as a junior. She was in the top 50 nationally and was invited to join the St. Petersburg team. The team won the Russian Team Championship, and Galina was awarded the prestigious title of Master of Sports of Russia. Galina then came to the US to play Division I tennis at the University of Idaho where she led the team to the NCAA Division I Team Championships, and also played for Fresno State, helping the team achieve their highest national ranking of No. 20 as their captain. Galina was No. 9 on the ITA women's singles rankings for the 2015 season.
