Industry Leader Ryan Johnson Named Senior Director of Racquet Works

New Braunfels, Texas (July 31, 2025) — Cliff Drysdale Tennis today announced that Ryan Johnson will join the organization as Senior Director of Racquet Works, effective August 18th, 2025. Johnson brings over 15 years of leadership experience in the racquet sports industry and will lead the development and implementation of Racquet Works, a comprehensive education, development, and resources platform designed to elevate racquet sports facilities worldwide.
Most recently serving as Director of Racquet Sports at Paradise Valley Country Club, Johnson has built an impressive career spanning elite private clubs, commercial facilities, and coach development roles. His extensive background includes leadership positions at Desert Mountain Club, Camelback Village Racquet & Health Club, Seattle Tennis Club, and Olde Providence Racquet Club. A former player and team captain at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Johnson also served as Volunteer Assistant Coach for the University of Arizona Men's Tennis Team.
Johnson's industry expertise extends across all major racquet sports, holding certifications as an Elite Professional with the RSPA and Adult Professional with PTR, along with specialized certifications in pickleball and padel. He currently serves as Vice President for the RSPA Southwest Board and as RSPA Head Pickleball Coach Developer for the Southwest region. His contributions to the industry have been recognized with the 2024 RSPA Southwest Industry Excellence Award and the 2021 Southwest Division and National RSPA Elevate Professional of the Year awards.
