Cliff Drysdale Tennis Unveils New Ladies Retreat Experience

Learning Seminars, Video Analysis and Live Ball Sessions Highlight New Offerings

Cliff Drysdale Tennis, the nation’s largest tennis management company, has announced a new format for their widely popular Ladies Retreats, with the first of its kind camp slated for October 9-13, 2019, hosted at the Omni Amelia Island Resort and Plantation.

The core concept of the Ladies Retreat remains the same: 5 days and 4 nights of luxury accommodation, tennis instruction, dinner and entertainment. The team competition, however, has been modified to allow for a new, all-encompassing learning experience.

Following 2-hour group clinics, retreat participants will receive highly specialized instruction through analysis and learning seminars. Thursday, each camper will be given personalized groundstroke video analysis. Friday the focus turns to the serve and return, where CDT pros will team up to provide not only on court instruction, but also supplementary documents and guides. Finally, Saturday focuses on the mental game, with trained specialists helping players of all levels excel in pressure situations.

Afternoon sessions have also been adjusted to a new format: Thursday players will compete in Live-Ball point play, Friday will feature a Pro-Am, while Saturday will host a match play round robin.

“We are really excited to offer this new retreat format,” said Scott Colebourne, COO of Cliff Drysdale Tennis. “These camps have been going strong for over 15 years, and we felt it was time to introduce a new experience at Amelia Island. Players will get specialized instruction in so many important areas of their game that are often neglected by coaches simply due to time constraints.”
