Teg Lozano Named Director of Tennis at Rome Tennis Center at Berry College

Rome Tennis Center at Berry College, an expansive tennis facility that opened in 2016 and features 57-courts on a 30 acre site, has named Teg Lozano Director of Tennis. Additionally, Kyndra Gilley has been named Tournament and Events Coordinator.

Lozano, originally from Pecos, Texas, has extensive tennis playing, coaching, and management experience. Lozano played collegiate tennis at Schreiner University and most recently served as Director of Racquets at Castlewood Country Club, a private club in Pleasanton, California. Lozano brought strong growth to tennis and pickleball during his time at Castlewood, and also featured as one of CDT’s touring professionals delivering signature events across the country. Gilley, also a Texas native, joins Rome Tennis Center following over two years of work in the CDT corporate office, where she served as a staff accountant and key lead in organizing the annual Cliff Drysdale Racquet Summit, a weeklong internal and external conference. Gilley has supported numerous club level and corporate events during her time with CDT, and will look to elevate the delivery of special events, tournaments, mixers and more at Rome Tennis Center.

“We are very excited to bring Teg and Kyndra on board here at the Rome Tennis Center and elevate our tennis program,” said Colt Gaston, General Manager of Rome Tennis Center at Berry College. “Teg is a truly passionate tennis professional who is going to bring fantastic experience, enthusiasm, and work ethic to our facility. Kyndra brings professionalism and strong attention to details to our events department. Both add immense value for our members, guests, and staff.”

“I’m thrilled to get to Rome, Georgia, and immerse myself in the club and the local tennis community,” said Lozano. “The potential at Rome Tennis Center is incredible, and I can’t wait to join the team on site and help build a strong tennis program. I want to thank everyone involved in this process for giving me the opportunity, as well as my colleagues and many friends at Castlewood Country Club for being a huge part of my professional development over the last few years.”

“Joining the team at Rome Tennis Center is an incredible opportunity,” said Gilley. “The expansive facility allows us to host a number of events for the local community; professional tournaments, college matches, member socials and everything in between. I’m looking forward to bringing fun, creative events that the Rome community will love!”

The Rome Tennis Center at Berry College is an award-winning center that hosts local, national, and international tournaments and is the largest contiguous hard-court facility in the country. The 57-court facility is comprised of USTA standard, asphalt tennis courts and includes six NCAA regulation courts, six indoor courts and three center courts for tournament and collegiate play. All courts have lighting and access to shade structures. The facility hosts daily programming to support and build tennis play locally. Local programs and lessons are offered for all ages and abilities from leisure play to competitive league play.
